RICHARD PITINO! Great coach with non of his dad's baggage but all the knowledge.

Took New Mexico to Tourney 2 years in a row!

He wasn’t particularly good in 7 seasons at Minnesota. I’m not saying that’s a hard “no”, but his resume is more than just New Mexico…which has been a decent program over years

No thanks, he was awful in Minnesota. He’s done well in New Mexico, but I wouldn’t consider the results outstanding enough to merit a major P5 job.

I know you recognize his name but there are better coaches out there.

great.

He also was Head Coach at Minnesota for 8 years and stunk - went 54-96 in conference.

In my defense...Minnesota is only good in hockey and what basketball player who does not live in Minnesota would want to go up there to play?

I mean we are being left behind as Tx just got Miller who was involved in the same.scandal to a higher level than Wade and we are stuck with Melty M&Ms

Same could be said about Louisiana.
Alan Huss and Bucky Mcmillian are too good names. I’m pretty sure hiring rich pitino would catastrophic.

Minnesota was a regular in the tournament in the 70s-80s.
They produced some damn good big men, like McHale, Mychael Thompson, and Randy Breuer

Damn, he'd get a raise at LSU with that impressive record. CoachMc is on pace for 39-111.
