Who has made the switch from the big boys (Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile) to the Boost, Mint, Consumer Cellular, Visible, Straight talk, etc? Any regrets? Loss of quality? Spotty service? Got to do something with my outrageous bill.

Had consumer cellular. Capping out on data drove me away to Verizon.

Verizon while expensive is still king in reliability and coverage

We went from Verizon to Total Wireless. They were purchased by Verizon last year I think so technically we’re back to Verizon, but our plan/prive remained the same. I could not tell the difference, no decrease in quality.

My oldest daughter is on Visible and she says the same. No difference between when she was with us in Verizon.

I stopped doing phone contracts more than 10 years ago. Right now I pay $45 per month for unlimited yada yada yada. It's Boost mobile. I'm not someone who cares what generation phone I have, or how amazing the features are. It has internet, and can make phone calls and text. The phone is a Samsung and cost me less than $200. I get a new one every 2 years or so.

I have been on Verizon for years and have had zero issues with coverage. I just find their pricing to be way overboard.

Contract is up at the end of the year with AT&T and will move to one of these prepaid plans at that time. Hate seeing $200+ go out the window every month.

My family has the cricket family plan. It’s 30 something a month for each line with unlimited data. No problems with service

We pay less than 30 a month for T-Mobile on a family plan. Haven't had any reason to change since they give everyone unlimited data

I've been on straight talk close to 10 years. I think it uses the T Mobile network. All these low cost carriers piggyback on one of the bigger companies networks.

Just got mine down to $10 / month.
Verizon. 15Gb of data, Unlimited talk and text.
The port process was slightly challenging, but only because of the company releasing it. (Red Pocket). So far so good, but we'll see what happens when the contract is up next year. Infimobile is who I went with.

Look up US Mobile their Warp 5G plan is Verizon and unlike other prepaid operators it’s not deprioritized.

Not quite. But why pay more than I need to if I can get the same service for less?

I went from Verizon to Total Wireless and wish I had done it sooner. I get 4 lines with 100 gigs of data for $100/month. Basically same service.

That’s a good question. Never thought about switching from ATT since i have had the same number for over 20 years but i wouldn’t be opposed to it if it were worth it.

I went from Verizon to Visible by Verizon three months ago and have noticed zero difference in quality. I pay $30/mo. and that's with an Apple Watch activated on the account. Verizon was charging almost $20/mo. (which included taxes) for the Apple Watch activation alone.
