Bassmasters Classic in Nola, a bunch of anglers went down river to Venice to fish, and Kevin Klein got shot at for going down some ole baw's private canal.

That was also one of Mike Iconelli's first Classics (which he won), where he was yelling "Never Give Up!" and fist pumping down in Venice.

played a HS fb game in the late 80's a few miles north of there. There was a tropical storm sitting off the coast causing major flooding and tons of rain. We crossed 3 ferries just to get there and the roads looked like lakes...no way they would play that game these days. We lost

used to go down there with a friend who flew a float plane, while the salesman and tool pushers were doing whatever it is that they would do my buddy and I would fill up a cooler with reds or specs
