Why are conservatives going on Gavin Newsom’s new failing podcast?

Snapshots and Soundbites! He (Gavin) is falling right into their trap and the Republicans are gathering tons of damaging comments from Newsom to air in the future - in other words, he’s getting played like a fiddle.
It’s a brilliant strategy by the Republicans!

Democrats can’t get out of their own way right now. It’s fantastic. They have no idea what to do.

Well they do not have a legitimate candidate going forward. Their bench is empty.

Well he thinks he is buddy buddying up to the likes of Charlie Kirk, Michael Savage and Steve Bannon
Michael Savage hates his fricking guts. He hates Nancy Pelosi and hates what those two evil pieces of shot did to San Francisco (that’s where Michael Savage lives)
This is all a coordinated effort to play Gavin like a fiddle to gather damaging soundbtes

I was telling a buddy this the other day. What does Newsome have to gain from this? He's made it clear he wants to be president for a long time. Maybe he thinks it will give him appeal with male and younger voters, but he's doomed his primary campaign in the DNC

That MSM bubble that has carefully crafted and protected their bullshite narrative for decades (Republicans too) is no longer there on long form podcast conversations. People can see through the fakeness.
They just dont get it. They dont understand that Rogan was built organically over a long period of time.
Gavin Newsome’s thought process in all of this was “well Trump had an edge because media is different now and they showed that by going on these “right wing” platforms.”
They don’t understand that they are non-partisan and they just shoot the shite and will also be checked and called out on most of these platforms.
Kamala didnt go on Rogan because it wasnt scripted and she is a fake hollow shell that has faked her way all the way to the top.

Gavin’s ego has made him believe that he is smooth enough to look good. He also is aware that this is his last gasp to survive his past. He can start to “evolve” before our eyes because he needs to distance himself from the radical left, and recognizes that a moderate will be the only chance.

They also don’t understand that Rogan’s podcast is not a political podcast. There are hundreds of political podcasts out there that triple the size of Rogan’s audience when added up.
But please.. let them keep thinking that Rogan is the ultimate Right wing podcaster!

Which of his guests do you think are conservatives?

Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon so far… Michael Savage is a moderate that started leaning right about 5 or so years ago. I still consider him as a moderate liberal though but he is disgusted with Pelosi, Newsom and the entire state of California

This is the best thing Gavin could do. He is learning how to respond to all of these arguments. Sounds bites from 4 years ago are old news. He can change any opinion he had by saying he changed his mind after talking to xyz and that we need to come together. He will cite him being willing to talk to anyone including these people. Better to get your gaffes out early.

Borders, Language, Culture.
Savage has been on that for a while.

4 years wasn’t old news with Kamala! The shite she said back in 2020 or whenever it was totally damaged her

This is the most ludicrous observation I’ve read on this board for quite some time.
Savage has been right for at least 20 yrs.
He was kicked off msnbc in like 04 for this rant:
Pretty humorous min clip
I delivered for papa John’s for a year or two at lsu, and on Sundays I’d get stoned and listen to savage and old country, alternating btw the two on deliveries. This was nearly 20 yrs ago.

He’s also trying to Kamala toward the middle in broad daylight, and can bullshite his arse off. No idea if it’ll be a long term net positive for him but he’ll definitely draw some big names. Guess we’ll see how he holds up
He’s a driven fricker. I’ll give him that

I disagree. They are giving g him the ammo he needs to paint himself as a moderate centrist in '28, when in fact he is anything but). A deep state wolf in sheep's clothing. They should not be going g on the podcast, but alas, most of them are just driven by the money anyway.

Bannon killed it on Gavin’s pod. Go read the comments. All the Gavin Bros were super impressed.

Plus Conservatives don't believe in not platforming someone just because we disagree. I think that Democrats and Republicans have a lot more in common than the mainstream media leads people to believe. Hell a lot of Trump Supporters used to be Democrats. So, if you can red pill just a few liberals by going on Newscums podcast. I say go for it.

Savage likes Gavin Newsom personally because Newsom reads his emails and once came to his birthday party. There is a profound ideological gulf between the two, but Newsom seems to treat Savage as an important constituent and Savage seems to value that.
Savage has been consistent in his views for at least 30 years. He coined the phrase "borders, language, and culture." I remember Walton & Johnson parroting those exact words and saying, "a guy named Michael Savage on another radio station actually made that up." That was pretty unheard of back then, in the heyday of talk radio- you don't mention the competition- but that's how important they thought it was, and that's how much they respected Michael Savage.

Do podcasts pay their guests for content?
