Covid really fricked things up. Probably take another 5 years to un-frick everything

Jeeps no longer hold their value like they used to because they forgot who their core base was and I say that as someone who has owned several Jeeps. I have a 2020 I bought in 2019 and it has lost value way faster than any of my previous jeeps. I should have sold it during the covid bubble.

I will never spend my hard earned money on a Stellantis product. They lost any reputable qualities.

Bought a Ram 1500 Big horn for 37k in 2020.

Sold it in 2022 for 38k

The car market is absolutely fricked. Have an F150 now and will be driving until the wheels fall off

I have a 2017 F150. I paid 32k for it. The same truck is 50% more expensive now.

Well, I bought a 2025 Ram Laramie crew cab.
Played 3 dealerships against each other.
Listed price was $70,000.
I bought it for $54,000 last month.

Yes, it has the V6 Hurricane.
I bought standard output option, which is 420 hp.
High output is 540 hp
The truck is fast as shite.
About to throw a Roar Pedal on it.

The truck is very nice. Runs smooth and is fast.

I know half the engine is very hard to reach.
Repairs will be pricy. But I have a friend for that.

Drive one before you knock it!

I bought a 4Runner in 2020 for $37.5k and it’s currently still worth $36k

Been researching the Laramie as well. That Bison interior looks really nice.

I'm torn. Have a 2022 gladiator that has been great. It has depreciated more than I expected but i havent had one single issue with it. Lots of long trips in it and i love the driving position. I still drive my taco with 365k miles daily though.

I would rather get a 25yr old 2nd Gen Ram with the Cummins than a new one. Don't trust Stellantis. I've had seven of their vehicles. Unless I was swimming in money, I don't see how I could buy one of their products now. Prices too high, quality too low.

I’m on my third Jeep, two wranglers and now a gladiator. The three best vehicles I’ve ever owned. I guess I’m the good kind of fool

I bought a gladiator brand new in 22. Had to get a 4x4 truck for my job, jeep was the only truck being advertised and sold at or below MSRP while every single other brand’s dealerships where marking up $10-15k. I now have 106k trouble free miles in 2.5 years and it gets beat on pretty hard.

Recs?

I’m about to pull the trigger on a 24/25 wrangler rubicon. Would like for the GVWR to be greater than 6000 lbs though. The 4xe is. As are some of the 392s but I don’t don’t do much off-roading. Maybe during hunting season.

I hear they’re shite for interstate and highway driving

I bought a 2015. Crappy construction like FCA was known for.

I'm taking good care of it because I don't want anything to do with the new ones.

I haven't looked at the current value because it ain't fo sale or trade.
