Charles Barkley ROASTS Espn and Kendrick Perkins for always talking lakers/warriors

Chuck is the best. Kendrick is an idiot and its about time espn gets called out for only talking about the big market teams. Calling out your future employer is a bold move.
The end is hilarious "averaged 5 points a game but hes the GLUE"

He's not wrong. Just like they talk about the Cowboys all the damn time.
Good on Chuck.
Good on Chuck.

This shite drives me to turn off any national NFL talk. The most irrelevant bandwagon team in the all of football

SNL did a skit bout Perkins this weekend lol

Kendrick Perkins represents everything wrong with ESPN from an analyst standpoint. I've said it a hundred times Antonio Daniels and David Wesley who cover a team in the smallest market in the NBA are each 10 times the analyst Perkins is and they can actually speak the English language.
That the premier sports network who has made the NBA pretty much it's number on topic most of the year can prop that guy up as their lead basketball analyst is in a word - embarrassing.

lol i love chuck for this.
OKC and Cavs finals would be elite for me.
Jarrett Allen would be lost though trying to keep up with OKC pace when Hartenstein isn't on the floor.
would be fun to see the in-series adjustments though.
Deandre Hunter has made cleveland better IMO

That’s because he isn’t an analyst. He’s barely capable of speaking, as you said.
ESPN has had some dumb people on air, but Kendrick Perkins is by far the dumbest and it’s not even close IMO. He’s legit stupid.

Just look at how obsessed this board is with the Lakers. If you’re ESPN, you follow the ratings - as they should.

Kendrick Perkins
I'm not the biggest Celtics fan out there, but I loosely follow them as I was born near Boston. Perk was a fun player when he first made the league, but within 5 minutes of listening to him talk you can tell he is just not an intelligent human being.

Barkley doesn't like the NBA so it doesn't really matter. He has made himself the poster child for "get off my lawn." Barkley doesn't even know who most of the players on any particular roster are and often proves it. The only time he even looks like he can tolerate his TNT show is when they are talking or doing something nonbasketball.
All that crap does not an expert make.

if following the ratings means featuring Kendrick Perkins - we're doomed as a society!!

No doubt. There is zero way that ESPN doesn’t have an agenda. Perkins and that Canty dude are stupid and racist. And the few people that watch these clowns knows it. So why doesn’t espn see it.

I'd tune in to watch Barkley talk about basket weaving. He's one of the most entertaining people in broadcasting, Perkins on the other hand is a parody of himself. The entertainment is watching him is to lampoon him. His values is the comedy of his ineptness. We watch him, if we watch him all is to laugh at him not with him.

They see it, and posts like this are exactly why they keep them on tv. Nobody runs to X after listening to Freddie and Fitzsimmons having intelligent sports discussion and posts “I really enjoyed Freddie Coleman’s take on _____.” Rage bait sells, and guys like Perk and Shannon Sharpe spewing nonsensical takes and race-bating is what drives up the interactions. It’s 2025 and unfortunately that’s where we’re at.

Barkley's gift of gab is not a gift for everyone. And basically, all you just said was that the NBA is full of either woke vibes or watching TNT always doubling down on stupid personified.

There is no sport that gets more hype and talk for less ratings than the NBA.
