That movie is beyond ridiculous.
It also has no business being so fricking good.

Enjoyable watch.
May qualify as underrated.

Mid-to-low tier Pixar movie for me, and I still think it’s pretty awesome.
That’s how strong Pixar once is/was.
For whatever reason, it just has never been one of my favorite Pixar entries.

I think it needs a few watches to really appreciate its nuances.
I originally only watched tid bits, but over time as my kids watched it I appreciated more

Pixar's apex was something to see. Probably never see anything like it again with modern animation studios.
This is their 7 yr run, culminating in Rattatouille, WallE, and Up all in consecutive years 07-09.
All three were incredibly diverse, original and have absolutely no business being the masterpieces that they were. The first 25 mins of WallE and opening of Up are genuinely some of the best filmmaking of the last 50 yrs, regardless of genre.

Top 3 Pixar movie
It has to be in the mix.
I think its better than Cars. I get Cars theater appeal and funness but ratatouille holds its own with adult films. Id put it in between toy story and wall-e. There may be movies in between but ratatouille is better than cars imo
I dont even know where i put the original bugs life but its a classic

What’s crazy is Cars is the weakest entry in that stretch.

I don’t think it’s good specifically because it’s so ridiculous. I watched it once when it first dropped.
The whole “they could communicate the whole time” motif is just dumb to me. The Bee movie is the same way.

Love Ratatouille and I’m still dizzy from the new ride at Disneyworld
You’re the POV of the rat with 3D glasses and stopping and running on the floor. Nice ride
I’m always partial to Monsters Inc. it’s my first Pixar love. I still think CoCo is a masterpiece

Ratatouille on the PS2 was so much fun! I remember playing this sewer pipe slide mini game so much.
There was a time in the mid 2000s when movie video games were great. Over the Hedge was another solid one with a golf cart demolition derby mini game.

I second this. Coco is a kid’s movie that speaks to adults. Honestly when you think about it many Pixar titles achieve that.
