Did you have a Swatch Watch?

I did. Came back from a Europe vacation with one purchased from Switzerland when I was 10. I thought I was coolest kid at school for about a week.

Something like this. With one of those silly protectors that didn't prevent shite. I had an automatic a few years later too.

This was mine! I remember getting it for Christmas in 4th grade (1986) and I thought it was the greatest thing ever.

I had one. Clear. Had the protectors and everything. They were the RAGE when I was in middle school.

Swatch was created in response to the Quartz crisis. The Swiss were getting creamed.

Now, Swatch is one of the largest watch making companies in the world, and they own some of the most famous luxury watch makers....Omega, Longines, Hamilton, Tissot, etc...

And it's already been said, you can still buy a Swatch, and it's still very much like what we had in the 80s

1986 I think was the year. I was 13 y.o. and could not afford the Swatch watch. I remember kids wearing 2 watches on same wrist.

11th grade. A great chick friend to this day, tried to peel me off of my girlfriend in the '80's with one of these squirted with Opium perfume. Won't forget that weekend ever.



Showing up at the farm that week caught me plenty of shite I guarantee.

I had all of these

nope nor did I have Jams, parachute pants, members only jacket or most other teenage trends in my time. Did have several pair of Girbaud's because they were comfortable.

Had a few but barely recall what they looked like or even what happened to them. Ive searched around my old bedroom at my folks place but no luck finding one.
