Trigger by a thread on the OT, I feel like I want to gorge myself.
Used the search but most threads are a bit dated.
Can be any ethnicity if its good.

I have been wanting to try the new one on Sherwood Forrest. I think it might be called Ombu or something like that. Its where Nagoya use to be. I think its more cajun than like a traditional Chinese buffet. The parking lot is always packed when I drive by it.

Sushi Masa isn't a buffet, but it's all-you-can-eat, and it's solid.
Same goes for the new Ohayo in Prairieville.
El Magey on Siegen has a very good Mexican buffet.
For pizza, the Gatti's buffet on Essen isn't bad.
On Saturday nights, the seafood buffet at Foo Chow in Walker is great. Great place to gorge on AYCE snow crabs for 25 bucks.

Yep - I've heard good things. Gonna check it out Saturday night.

Not a big buffet person, but I’ll do Sushi Masa and El Magey occasionally.
I’ve been to Central Buffet a handful of times and it’s actually pretty good.

Is the Swagat buffet back? I went over a few months ago and it still wasn't operating.
Al Noor has a buffet that's pretty good and in the same neck of the woods.

Country Kitchen in Gonzales is pretty good

Yeah unfortunately I don't think Swagat ever continued the buffet following Covid. Nor did my absolute favorite, Thai Pepper.

I miss the Thai Pepper buffet.
Is the Thai Kitchen buffet open? That place wasn't nearly as good as Thai Pepper, but sometimes you gotta make do.

I've been to Ombu for lunch several times. It's decent, nothing to write home about.

Thai Kitchen buffet is also no longer with us unfortunately

I had the worst food poisoning of my life after eating at Nagoya; no way I'd ever step back inside that building.

I miss the Thai Pepper buffet.
That buffet was 100% quality and a great variety including dishes not on the menu. We still frequent them and glad to see they stay (too) busy

The crowd that ate there - dear God. That made the folks at Wal-Mart look like the audience at the Metropolitan Opera.
