After a failed attempt at unseating Cruz by dems pumping million$ into the senate race (Texas going purple!) he couldn’t unseat a low charisma Senator, he rethought his options and had the dems pumping million$ more into the gubernatorial race against Abbot (really they mean it, Texas going purple this time).

Beto made some dumb political moves + suprised he didn’t land a cabinet or ambassador job with Biden to keep his political career going. Oh well, he got plenty of family money from the wife so he could always run for president again in 2028, no point for him running for anything in Texas
