What would it take for the Democratic party to just fold completely

Political parties have failed before. See the Whigs. Obviously this isn't common era but still. I think it's a worthwhile discussion.

I get so sick of this nonsense. Every god damn election, one side is done. Over. Then the very next election they win.
75,000,000 people voted for a drunk word salad queen. They will keep voting for anyone pushing their beliefs. Obama won and the idiot liberals on here were saying the same nonsense.

BUT... If tGOP can make big inroads among the soccer moms (and of course, eliminate the Dem replenishment pool of illegal aliens) they can push the Dems back near the 40% level. The Dems aren't going below that. We'll always have idiots from the CBC getting media attention

We won’t see the democrat party totally disappear but a new party is going to emerge at some point to replace this current iteration. I think the dems will need to lose the midterms for this to happen.
