Any advice on removing club members UPDATE PAGE 3

I’ve got some guys that have become outright terrorists. Name calling in the club group text, just not doing what they’re supposed to do and I’ve got to get rid of them. They have stands on the property that I don’t want them to lose but I also don’t want them falling out and suing the property owner. How are yall dealing with this? I’ve had this place for 20 years and never thought I’d end up in this position.

Are you the president? Are there any by-laws for your club?

Get someone you trust and have them help you remove the stands from the property. Inform the guys you want out that y’all will meet them so they can take back their property. Take pictures of stands before they are moved to prove you didn’t damage them . Inform them in writing that their rights to club property have been removed and retrieve gate keys from them or change the lock combinations.

Whatever you do, all their property needs to be brought to them as soon as possible as Pdubya stated. Having known troublemakers on the property after they are removed is a recipe for disaster. Once they are informed that they're out, they are trespassers.

I’ve seen less drama in a cackle of female reality stars than I’ve ever seen with grown men in a bass or hunting club.

Have the game warden deliver the news on official letterhead in a sealed envelope

This is why you have by-laws. To help spell out requirements and the general process to handle these situations.
I’ll tell you from experience, if you haven’t addressed this professionally and appropriately it’s going to be a mess to straight kick them out.
You need to treat members like an employee. They shouldn’t get fired for no reason, they should fire themselves. Which means you should document the issues, sit down and address them officially, give them an opportunity to stop, give them a final warning and the next time would be expulsion. Then if it continues and you remove them. As said be prepared to make the time immediately to remove all of their property.

This is the key. Make sure the individual is a good fit before just allowing them to join. A lot of club presidents/lease holders are in it for the cash. That’s the clubs that have to advertise on facebook for members. . The good clubs don’t have a large turnover every year.

We sent them a letter stating the club was not gonna renew their membership into the club anymore and for them to remove all personal items by a specific date. If not removed by that date (was like 2 months) that property would become club property. Signed by the president.
It worked with no issue. I assume if you have a lawyer friend that’s willing to type up an official letter that would really show them you mean business and club isn’t playing around with them.

And, maybe get the sheriff to trespass them if there is a remote possibility they will just outlaw on club property.

Pretty simple.
You tell them they have until whatever day to get their shite off the property or it becomes property of the club.

however you do it the sooner the better, before they start preparing for next season with stand and or camp improvements and gives them time to find a new place

Elaborate on this, please. It sounds like you just don't want them in the club anymore. Name calling and bullshitting was a prerequisite in the few hunting clubs I was in. Not doing what they are supposed to be doing is very vague, are they not showing up for camp clean up days or are they making meth out there?

This is also a great way to do it. One of the better ways, it depends on the timing though
