He rarely sits down for an interview, but here he sits down with Rogan for two and a half hours:

He set the record straight on Belushi.

He also called out Bob Woodward for being a liar and a propagandist. Woodward’s lies about Belushi red-pilled him

I started listening yesterday while grocery shopping. It was really boring. I ended up listening to something else.

From what I could tell, Bill Murray had no idea what JRE was, and, possibly, what podcasts are

Definitely sounds like the Oprah-zation of JRE is reaching final form.

Did Bill ever buy a Panda Express store like he claimed he would a few years ago?

I mean, the family called him out at the time and then particularly with the bananas Oliver Stone film based on Wired. That was Michael Chiklis' (sort of) breakout role, but the movie itself was mostly panned outside of some praise for Chiklis (which was not universal).

On the other hand, I look back and think: Why didn't Danny and Jimmy (Belushi) write that story? Who knew John better than those 2? Why did they leave it to a sensationalist liar like Woodward to write the thing? Did they not know what he was about? And why no sincere effort to correct it other than bitching about Woodward's account (and Judith's books, somewhat belated - Samurai Widow wasn't published until 1990 - and the biography that passes for the official family one not until last year, the year Judith died.)

But, it is interesting to watch the mind of a guy like Murray (who is reasonably smart for an entertainer) go through that process.

Bill seemed uncomfortable getting into politics, but kept it civil.

I enjoyed it.

I doubt he'd do JRE if he do know about Rogan being the biggest podcast in the world.

He's not gonna sit down for 3 hours with some random when he hates doing 1 minute interviews.

Wild that the interview went off the rails when they start talking homeless people in San Francisco.

Joe makes a throwaway a joke about people getting paid to shite in the street and they got off on that dead-end topic for 45 mins and lost momentum.
