G Vice hit the nail on the head
Alesi ? First pizza place in Lafayette.
Sarricas just opened their restaurant. Food is amazing as its reservation only, no take out. He is short staffed on wait staff and only has 1 chef/cook. He and his wife bust their arse to put out a quality food product and he really needs good responsible workers. Sadly that’s a common problem facing many restaurants today

Definitely has gone down hill. Several months ago went for a good friend’s bday. I ordered the veal parmigiana which tasted like a Swansons frozen tv dinner. The pizza was meh

Great pizza! Had it last night and was 100% a true Italian pie.
They are slow with a small staff. Had to place an order at the restaurant for take out, which they say they don’t prefer.

Not sure, but the phrase Italian style pizza is funny.

Central Pizza on Jefferson downtown. Best pizza in Lafayette.
Frozen Poupart's Bakery dough for the crust, not legit.
Sarrica's is legit, they make their own dough and you can tell. As others have said, they have little to no staff and it takes a while, but it's worth it. No one else in Lafayette is even in the ballpark in the pizza game.

It’s not from Poupart’s unless something changed recently.

I dig Antoni's as my favorite Lafayette pizza.

Good pizza requires olive oil. Alesi’s is a good classic Italian (Italy-NOLA-NYC) working man/family pizza. Soo good. Only competitor was NY Pizza when they were open but Lafayette isn’t into NYC/Italian Pizza. But has great pizza in Deanos and Pizza Village and Alesi’s that my NYC Italian family loves and is shocked by in the south. All three will not disappoint.

I will absolutely crush a Landry Special any hour of the day or night, and day of the week.
