Just kidding, it was at Starbucks, but they still met in person and Shultz had some words for Ian.
Below is the twitter exchange and the article about the Starbucks confrontation that followed.

Per multiple sources who witnessed the interaction, Jordan Schultz of Fox and Ian Rapport of NFL Media engaged in a verbal altercation on Wednesday afternoon at the Starbucks at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis. Schultz, we’re told, accosted Rapoport.
The incident first came to widespread light when PFT Commenter (a/k/a Eric Sollenberger . . . a/k/a the twin brother of the late Eric Sollenberger) posted a tweet on Wednesday night that referred to a “serious big time media confrontation” between a “two NFL newsbreakers.” The tweet sparked much speculation and an effort to get to the bottom of the situation.
The fact that it happened at a Starbucks provides an intriguing coincidence; Schultz is the son of former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz.
We’re told that Rapoport was talking to an agent. Schultz approached Rapoport and said, “We need to talk.” (Or specific words to that effect.)
Rapoport replied, we’re told, “We don’t need to talk.” (Or specific words to that effect.)
Schultz then made accusations about Rapoport, we’re told. Rapoport, we’re told, regards the accusations as unfounded. The two men were essentially face to face.
“If you have anything to say it to me, say it to my fricking face,” Schultz said, or specific words to that effect. “If this continues we’re going to have a fricking problem.” (As noted below, Schultz does not recall using profanity.)
Rapoport then asked Schultz to step back.
“If this happens again, we’re gonna have fricking problem,” Schultz said, or specific words to that effect. “Now I’ll step back.”
The incident was reported to NFL Security. And NFL Security has taken statements from multiple witnesses.

Schultz sounds like a petulant trust fund boy

Ironically I kind of agree with Schultz on saying things to people's faces, but allegedly he also had to be an extreme douche bag about it.

I don’t know, most of these big J journalists love the smell of their own farts. I kind of like a guy that’s willing to get in the mix

So what were the accusations?

The whole NFL insider industry is super annoying.

1) it seems wild to me that Brady can be a minority owner and broadcaster at the same time
2) rich people running into each other at an expensive place isn’t that absurd of an idea
3) who knows what really happened
4) these guys get carried away and have no decency. Schefter was literally sending out pics of that giants dude’s medical record after his fourth of July fun. I think these reporters have no decency.

Of course Schultz was at Starbucks
Rapoport shouldn’t have been in his territory

Brought to you by ESPN via the Fanduels Broadcast Booth, along with a discussion of a football player banned for a year for betting on college basketball next to the stadium.

Ian is a complete dork so I kind of enjoy him getting knocked down a peg.

two rich dudes running into each other at a presumably nice ski resort in Montana in February doesn't seem that strange

Sports reporting is serious business

I agree with that, but also, it’s not like Rapapport made a personal attack he reported heard something different
they are “insiders” why would he tell Schultz that?

Brady has had a place (and membership) in the super exclusive Yellowstone Club for a long time, which is a private neighborhood, golf course, and ski hill right next to Big Sky for the rich and famous. Unless the Staffords are also members there, Matt had to be invited as a guest.
There's always the chance Brady could've hopped over and skied Big Sky with Stafford and the rest of the general public, but that's highly doubtful with his Yellowstone Club membership right next door, especially if he's trying to recruit Stafford to LV.
