We can’t really cut him without the huge cap hit issues. And if we play him he will win meaningless games that interfere with us getting a prime draft pick.

So let’s keep him, and have him sit the fricking bench. I guarantee a few weeks of that and he will waive whatever clause and take whatever offer to get out. Right now he won’t because he’s the de facto guy! Let’s damage that ego a bit.

Raiders did it, and he didn't waive the no-trade clause. Forced the Raiders to cut him before signing with the Saints because he didn't want a team that gave up on him to get anything in return for moving on.

Sometimes you have to lose to plan to win. But let’s go plan to win a Super Bowl!!! We will come back down to the reality of the situation by mid season, after we have locked in a 8-16 draft spot!!!

He will likely just good injured again as he’s now in his mid 30s and has pretty mediocre pocket awareness.

I just hope that when he does the rest of the team is somewhat intact so we can get a real sense of if rattler will be worth keeping around in any capacity.

Yeah I have no idea why Saints fans feel this way. If I was Carr I'd do the same. It's not his fault the saints gave him this contract.

Were not paying him all that money to sit unless he does dumb shite and gets injured again.

Solution and Carr should never be in the same sentence.

I don't see much difference in paying Carr to sit and paying a bunch of dead money to players dead cap to not play for us like we already do.

What about we have found the solution at QB by trading Carr?

Agree however this position is unique and a major weak point depth wise.

Losers plan to lose when they give Carr $150 million in the first place. Get rid of that bum. Waste of time

The answer is to pay another team a draft pick to take him via trade like Brock Osweiler.

Give some team a 3 + Carr for nothing in return.

Clear the books of that mistake and start over.

A rebuild could take 2-3 years if you dump Carr and you are lucky in finding players in the much much later rounds of the draft.

Saints will keep Carr so this rebuild will take much much longer ..

——Why?

Because when you have 6 to 7 win seasons you will never have a draft pick high enough to draft the #1 or #2 rated QB in the draft.

You’re just hoping to get lucky in the 4th or 5th rd… Good Luck there.

Let’s see ….refresh my memory…. when was the last FRANCHISE QB the Daints drafted in the 2nd rd, 3rd rd, 4th rd, 5th rd, 6th rd or even the 7th rd ?????

And what do you do when he declines the trade ? Since some of you have all the answers?
