And Bloodletting one of the greatest albums of all time. Their unique sound remains unduplicated to this day.

I've been a big fan for a long time.
Love the writing and guitar work on some of the most simple stuff.
Liked the way she could be funny about creepy stuff.
She wrote a helluva lot of great lines in her songs. Pro all the way.

Not familiar with them. Reminds me of the Pretenders.

One of the most underrated singing voices in rock. “Caroline” is one of the most haunting tracks ever made.

I agree with everything you said, but it's worth pointing out that Bloodletting gets all the attention while Walking in London and Mexican Moon were both incredible albums in their own right.

Their cover of Everybody Knows from the Pump Up the Volume soundtrack was amazing too.

Johnette's collab with The Heads was incredible as well:

Yes. Johnette Napolitano was the consummate frontwoman. She didn’t need to profess herself a powerful frontwoman. You just knew it when she stepped up to the mic with her bass guitar. Definitely one of the most unique voices in music—like a gutteral Grace Slick crossed with Ann Wilson.
James Mankey’s guitar tone was equally distinctive. Not sure how to describe it except for being a clean, chorusy, reverby tone beset by a full-time tremolo.

I wanted to post that so badly because it’s my favorite song of theirs; but, since it’s neither one of their originals nor on the Bloodletting album, I reluctantly didn’t link it. I’m glad you did.

"Joey" would be a No. 1 country hit if some pop-country chick did a cover of it.
