Taking my kids to NYC for their 16th birthday and was thinking about taking them somewhere really nice.

Has anyone been to Le Bernardin? This is my first choice but am open to ideas.

I was going to say “what’s your definition of really nice” and then I kept reading.

Yeah I think Le Bernadin qualifies. Lol. Good for you. Don’t think you can go wrong there

I had a good meal at Rezdora, but take heed, it's only a 1 star restaurant

Friend,

Le Bernardin is in my opinion the best restaurant in the world. If you can go, go.

Yes and it’s worth every penny.

Love Rezdora. Been there maybe 5-6 times. It’s nowhere near Le Bernardin.

If TulaneLSU says it’s the best in the world, at the very least it’s not a bad choice.

When planning a visit, it's essential to:

Take them to Le Bernardin for lunch. It is a really fantastic restaurant. Rezdora is also delicious but if you want something elite, go to Le B.

Had a horrible meal at Daniel years ago. Remains one of my most disappointing dining experiences of all time.

I've eaten at Le Bernardin, Eleven Madison Park, Daniel, River Cafe and Gabriel Kreuther. All have multiple Michelin stars except for River Cafe which has one star. All were excellent experiences, but I rank the meal I had at Le Bernardin the highest.

Pick something that has a rooftop, there’s so many choices for fine dining, but I think a big differentiator between that and where you live now would be a rooftop experience

You better have really deep pockets if you're going to Masa. I think it's like around $800 a head.

Yeah. I do alright, but I’m ain’t OT rich. The four course at LeBernardin is $210 so not cheap but doable for a once in a lifetime experience.

Glad someone mentioned one of my lunch favs.

Le B is a great experience. Had a dish there and had enough wine to ask the chef for the sauce recipe. Without hesitation the waiter brought it to me written on back that night's menu.

Ai Fiori and Marea are awesome italian places. Took my family to Fiori when my daughter was 9. They treated her like royalty and made her the finest F-ing sgetti n meatballs I've ever had! And my octopus was so tender she loved that too.

Gramercy Tavern is great for lunch or dinner; go to Balthazar for brunch.

They didn’t ask for this, but I want them to experience what food can be at this level.
