I’d say LSU. I wanted to have fun, party, see the teams win.

Split between Arkansas and Ole Miss.
Your choices seem limited. Alabama and Tennessee have very nice campuses too. I’d think Rice would be a nice college experience as well. Heck, why not Rollins in Orlando. Primo.

I already made that decision when I was 17.
OU and OSU were never options. But Tennessee and Georgia were.
I chose LSU.

I would choose engineering at any of the schools. It really does not matter the school.
Really it would be best to just go to the cheapest. LSU and Mississippi State at least wouldn’t be cold.

They’re all basically the same. Where do you want to live after college?
If money is a consideration I’d go to the in state school

I live 1 mile from Rice. Even if my son were a top tier academic Asian, I doubt he'd want to go to a school where he'd see Mom power walking in yoga pants past his morning Econ class.

In that case, I’d think UT Austin or TAMU would be high on the list. I liked Waco; how about Baylor?

Arkansas. NWA is hard to beat.

Money is not a consideration, but both UT and A&M are insanely hard to get into anymore. UT had 91,000 freshman applicants this year and is falling below 30% acceptance. A&M has notified high schools that only 9k new freshman will be admitted for next few years. Texas Tech is 11 hours away, making Louisiana/Miss/Ala more palatable.
Georgia/Tennessee/Florida are insanely competitive. Things are different now than they were even 5 years ago.
