Any other Northshore elitists going to brave the cold tonight?

We usually set up on 22 near Capital One. Parking in lots may be a little more competitive this year as they no longer allow cars to park along the route

Begrudgingly, I think so.
Gonna bundle up like that kid in Christmas Story.

Yeah that was crazy last year. We were just about to head home when all that shite went down. We wound up hanging out for another hour or so until it cleared

We watched the parade right in front of McDonalds last year.

Left the parade a little early and found out about the shooting later that night.

Will be there again tonight in the same spot LOL

We'll be out there. People are stacking their crap on the neutral ground already.
I wish there was more than one parade on this route, seems like a lot of work for just one krewe.

Absolutely zero chance you catch me out in the freezing arse cold for a parade. If the weather was perfect you still wouldn't find me near a parade. Too many losers that don't know how to act. I have no patience for this.

Everyone else, enjoy and don't get sick.

It seems like this segment has grown the last few years. People from the sticks come in and act like trash. Take that shite to the Bogalusa parade

It's too hard finding people to spend the money to ride in and put on a good parade not named Endymion or not going down St. Charles Avenue.

It's why most Westbank Krewes have moved Uptown and why Metairie Mardi Gras has struggled in recent years.

Membership in the Uptown parades has exploded in recent years. There are some parades this weekend with more riders than the heavy hitters next weekend.

Mandeville Moms rumor mill at its best. At least five marching bands and a bunch of high school dance teams and other stuff.

Out here putting stuff on my woman’s float now. It’s not even that cold. I am in a quarter zip and no jacket. Tonight is supposed to be mid 40’s. Easy day for a light jacket and a stocking cap.

Parking my car on the causeway approach in an hour. There's nobody parked, can still get a good spot.
