Get elected.
Start a war.
Use war as impetus to halt elections.
Refuse to end said war.
Stay in power forever.

This is democracy.

If you take away the OT board, it's more like 1%.

As a Trump supporter, this is my only complaint: his making up statistics when he doesn't have to.

Why can't he just say: "Zelensky's approval numbers are way down"?

There is no poll out there showing Zelensky with a 4% approval rating.

77% of all statistics are pulled from thin air, so why can't Trump do it?

There are other people that offer the possibility of doing a much better job than Zelenskyyy.

Of course, then the CIA would have to go through the process of grooming, recruiting, bribing, blackmailing again.

It’s a pain in the arse.

Playing Devil's Advocate... how do you know he wasn't given that statistic in a briefing?

Of course he can. My opinion doesn't matter, but I prefer that the president speak truthfully.

I hoped the Golden Age of America would be the end of bull shitting. In the grand scheme of things, it's a minor complaint.

I hope you're right, but when someone asks for the name of the poll, there will be crickets. Just like the "they ranked 40 countries in education and America finished last. We were first in amount of money spent per pupil." Completely invented.

Again, most Trump supporters are comfortable with this. Regardless of making things up, Trump is a great president. I won't keep beating this dead horse.

Yes, he started the war by invading himself. Makes sense. I'm sure if Putin pulls out, he'd be more than happy to hold elections, so why doesn't Putin pull out?

Ask your Ukrainian friends why did Ukraine bomb their own Citizens in Eastern Ukraine since 2014. Probably was a poor decision. Now they want to be with Russia

I appreciate Trump's Art of the Deal being strategic about motives and desired outcomes
(Canada = 51st State, Gaz-a-Largo, etc.)

I'm just not a fan of mistating objective reality. It lessens credibility.

I have come to accept Trump just exaggerates with numbers when negotiating.

Because when they "prove him a liar" by showing it's actually a 33% approval rating it proves his real point that the people want him replaced.

That's a good policy. Of course, being effective is more important than being accurate.

I have been very pleased with Trump's presidency and how unbelievably effective he has been. I'll suck it up and quit complaining.

Cheers
