I shot 3 does in Louisiana area 6. Passed a few young bucks. Outside of the 2.5 weeks I spent in Missouri I didn't hunt as much this year as I usually do.

Didn't get to hunt much.

Thankfully killed one opening day, crippled one i didnt find (judged range about 40 yards short) had some super fun hunts.

Had one of my most fun hunts in a while. Was sitting on the ground in the rain and surrounded by deer between 5 feet and 20 yards away and never got busted. Pretty proud of that.

pretty rough year

2 does, both on public

had chances at lots of young bucks, but was pretty set on killing only mature bucks this year

but killing mature bucks on public land in LA with a bow is not always the easiest task

Good year. Saw a ton of deer but most were does and spikes. Only shot one 8 point and my son killed 3 does. We're trying to let the little ones grow and see what happens.

Good year, my 3 boys got to shoot 23 doe. They each killed a 5.5 year old or older buck. I killed a 6pt that scored 142 1/8. He won Simmons 6pt division.
Horns were down this year. I believe it’s due to the drought we have been in the last couple of years.

What area in Missouri did you hunt? Spent a few weeks up there myself this year and hated it. No deer and tons of hunters

I live in south La but hunt north La. Killed 2, 4pts dog hunting and a 6pt. Wounded 2 other deer and couldn’t find. Shot 3 does over a corn pile and wounded a fat nanny, searched for 20 minutes and saw lots of blood but was dark and went home.

I’m kidding, got an 8pt on family property and doe on public

Oh and a hog on a buddy’s property

I got two bucks in Area 6. most bucks I've killed in a single season in 20 years. I saw a ton of deer during the season. The only hunt I made and didn't see anything was unfortunately the only hunt my daughter made with me.

Great season. I saw deer on almost every hunt, and I hunted at least 3 times a week all season long. I ended up taking 3 public land archery bucks and all looked to be 3.5 years old. It was a 7-point and two 8-points.

I'm going to change things up and go after 4 year old and older bucks next season. I'll take does for meat early on if I can find them without their fawns. This season, every doe I saw early season had a fawn or two with them.

North east and south west. All the locals were complaining about how many people were there but it wasn't hard for me to get away from folks.
