Oldest living person in us is 114 years old and lives in Georgia. Quickly found on internet search. No one in SS even questioned these ages. Is Methuselah getting a check?

Obviously an indictment of the system, but yeah doesn't imply all were getting paid.
The counter argument, even if 5% received checks for the duration, the amount of money paid out is mind boggling.

Social security is a scam. The people who will get to receive payments will find that, adjusted for inflation, what they have paid into the system is far more than what they get. Millennials and all succeeding generations likely won’t get a dime because the fragility of the monetary system will be exposed by then. There isn’t even a trust fund, social security taxes go into the general fund at the Treasury, and it isn’t anywhere close to what would reasonably be considered insurance. It’s just another tax.

The problem with SSI. They had actuary charts when they were set up. This nonsense about "oh well people are living longer and we didnt plan on it" is bullshite.
One, the disabled regulations (there is that ugly word again) changed to hangnails and migranes, and when they moved people off welfare they suddenly became permanently disabled.
Two, illegals were never supposed to be on the system, along with the obvious fraud that never gets investigated.
Three, by law it was never to be touched........but the interest could be. And that is what really fcked it up because if left alone the interest would be far far more than the principal being put in now. JFK, JFK over 60 years ago signed the bill to take it and LBJ is the one who actually started....and every president since, both parties. Thats why they dont want to talk about it.
