No pics you horn dogs.

So I have a daughter who chose the blue pill. I have two ther daughters who both are full on MAGAT's. I don't have much of a relationship with my lib daughter, but we weren't completely estranged until 2 weeks ago when she wrote me a 2 page email telling me what a shitehead I am and that she can no longer have a relationship with me.

In the last paragraph she said that she had come to realize that she doesn't need me or anything from me. Keep in mind, she graduated college, FSU, in 2022 so we have been giving her financial assistance since she graduated. We continued to carry insurance, both automotive and health, and we were sliding her about $500.00/ month to help her pay her bills. She moved to Boston right after graduation and it's expensive to live there.

She sends me the email, and I respond with some directives like, she has 30 days to get the car she's driving in her name and her own insurance. As well, I cut off the gravy train.

Fast forward 2 weeks, and she received an email yesterday that she was let go from her job.

She worked as an editor for a text book publisher in Boston. As it turns out, it was a company who's funding came directly from the DOE, and those funds were cut off a few days ago.

Why is it humorous?

We had hardly been communicating for the last couple years because we have such differing views. So why the email? It wasn't necessary. All she had to do was just shut up and I would have continued supporting her. But nope, her liberal friends talked her into it because it was "brave".

She hasn't yet asked my wife for money, she'd never ask me, but it's coming, and it's gonna suck for her when I tell her no.

She's my kid so I don't think I could ever let her completely crash and burn, but it will literally have to be a life or death situation for me to send her more money. I love her, but I don't like what she's become.

Unfortunately she made her own bed.

You never taught her about biting the hand that feeds you?

I’d try to repair the relationship. This seems like a good opportunity. Push politics aside. If you’re religious, lean into it. Praying for you, brother. You don’t want to regret that relationship while on your deathbed.

Exactly. Don’t want to push her into a commune or cult.

I have one daughter that went to grad school at UT in Austin. Same thing happened to her. She told me about 2 years ago that she was “white privileged”.
I told her NO, you have some economic privilege but there is no such thing as white privileged.
My other two kids are very conservative. I blame that shithole communist school in Austin.

I had to watch my oldest hit rock bottom for different reasons, but it was absolutely necessary. Now she’s married, starting a career, and gave us our first grandchild. Life is hard. It’s harder if you’re stupid.

By giving her what she wants, you are helping her, dad.

She has been living her “principles” on your dime. Easy work.

Let her live her way on her financing.

Not sure we have the same definition of "funny"

This is tragic. And sad. You have one life. And you and your daughter will both regret this. I would try to fix this.

Basic logic shouldn't have to be taught. But since she has a full on case of TDS, logic probably flew out of the window years ago.

A lot of normies don’t realize this, but young Leftist women are HEAVILY encouraged to repudiate their Fathers. And of course all their psychological problems will be because of Dad. It has always been a phenomenon but it is just completely widespread now. Hang in there, OP and double down with your children who choose to be loving.

Sorry to hear that. As a parent, I truly am. I have boys. They are extremely different, but both have good heads on their shoulders. At least for the most part. Ha ha.

Hopefully, your daughter will run into a good man who will frick some sense into her. Good luck.

That's sad honestly. Politics should never take precedence over family.

Sounds like you're way too deep in the Magazi cult.

See this often. Sad.

A lot of college liberals come around when they get introduced to Mr. FICA, Mr. Withholding, and all the other various taxes liberals are always looking to increase. They come to realize that they are the ones who now have to pay for all of the Democrats' fraud, waste, abuse, and corruption to financially support their insane social engineering experiments.

First convo is with your wife to make sure she doesn't filter her money without you knowing. That's how I see this going down, especially if your wife has a side account. You're gonna have to DOGE your wife so that y'all are on the same page. After you've taught this life lesson on humility, then you can repair the relationship later. Now is not the time to capitulate. Hard love, art of the deal, just business for now.

It’s good she realized she didn’t need your help anymore. She’s a college grad and it’s time she make her own way. Handouts won’t help in the long run. A gift here and there is one thing, supporting an adult is another. I will say enjoy your extra funds. It’s a sad situation, so not making light of it. She will have to find her own way and maybe one day back to you. It’s better to hit bottom now financially bc plenty of time to fix it. And learn choices have consequences.
