Does anyone know if LSU is going after the 6-4 265lb lineman? Dandy Don has him as the 15th best player in Louisiana.

I know he has numerous offers. Would be a legacy recruit, FWIW.

Would really like for us to go after this kid, can never have enough lineman.

I remember in the 80s or 90s Ryan Thomassie was a guard and he was a good one in high school.

He was also ALL SEC
LSU is communicating with Blaise but no official offer yet. Arkansas, Oregon, Fla St, Tulane, Houston and others have offered.
He played basketball his first two years and dropped weight when he did. He’s not this year and is keeping it on and still getting taller. Legit 6’5”, 285+ great kid, super smart, and great family, would love to see him in p&g. Would make a great C at next level.

I'm assuming Blaise is Ryan's son? Ryan was one of the most sought out Olineman coming out of high school. One hell of a player!

I think he went to Tennessee. Not sure he did too well.

Big DT out of Rummel in early 90's around the Peyton Manning time. I remember I wanted him at LSU bad. I really don't remember what he ended up doing there.

He is technically a legacy recruit simply due to him being the son of Ryan Thomassie, however I predict this kid will be the number one or two OL in state before it is all said and done.
Full disclosure, I know the family which could be taken as me having a bias or me actually knowing a lot about Blaise and the 2026 OL class, or both.
When the first 2026 rankings came out almost 2 years ago, Blaise was "only" a 6' - 3-3/4" and 235lb sophomore. It was understandable for him to be ranked behind Brysten and Lamar from a recruiting standpoint because those are based more on projections at the next level and size matters, in additon to lack of game film, etc. We all know its easier for a small guy to be more athletic than a big guy, the hard part is keeping that athleticism with the additional size.
He camped at few places last summer at around 6'-4" and 260lbs, still not quite the size most D1 schools look for in an elite OL, despite him being the most athletic OL at the camp.
Fast forward to today, Blaise is still growing and is a legit 6'-5" and solid 285lbs. Its crazy how fast he is putting on muscle and actually becoming more explosive as a result, not less.
I've said this before but people always want to compare a recruit to a former LSU player, my opinion is he is Will Cambell 2.0.
LSU better stop slow playing this one...

Yes, he is Ryan's son
Blaise is a great kid and looks like he could gain 25 lbs and still move great. Highly projectable at the next level. Seems like a prototypical BK lineman recruit. I think he'll end up at a Top 20 program, just hope it's LSU.

And switched to OL. I remember he was able to dunk back at Rummel. Quite impressive as he was a large human.

How does someone have him listed as a C and you’re saying LT. Wonder what he wants to play?
Posted on 2/14/25 at 7:27 pm to Raging Tiger
He’s been playing LT since he was a freshman. Dominated Dominick McKinley in the state championship as a sophomore… along with guys like Jamal Waller and Keyland Moses. But he projects inside and he’s super smart, which you need to be as a C.

I am good friends with his Uncle. His Dad is Ryan that played for Dinardo. So far no LSU offer but if they do he will be a Tiger.
