I don't love it, but also like it more than just elevating the current guys. When your season ends so late you have less options from the college ranks

As a Penn State and Eagles fan, I 100% support this move. He was the Eagles DC for part of 2023 - they were by far the worst defense in the league.
He was also the Patriots DC when Nick Foles outplayed Brady in a Super Bowl where the GOAT threw for over 500 yards.

See above - reportedly one of the bigger appeals of the UNC job is the potential for his son to take over eventually
Certainly nepo vibes but Steve Belicheck did pretty good at Washington last year after leaving the death star and was running the defense after Flores left so he’s got some skins on the wall.
Patricia Likely had an open offer to be whatever he wanted on UNCs staff outside of DC, but got a much better offer.
Also a smarter bet for him given he needs to find work for the next 20-40 years and BB only has like max 5 left. This is a chance to get him back in the cycle for bigger jobs if it goes well.
