I think part of the reason so many people are calling for his return is they don’t trust LSU to find the next WW or make a good hire. We’ve had 5 coaches since Dale retired and 3 of them were god awful.

He won an SEC title, came within a tip in of a SEC tourney title and was in the tourney every year after year 1. Our seeds were 3, 8 and 6 and he never finished outside the top 5 in SEC play during that stretch so don’t know where you’re getting “he barely got us into the tourney” from.

The belittling of his accomplishments at a young age and lack of understanding that he had time to grow as a coach - which is usually what happens - is extremely disingenuous.
Just for perspective, arguably one of the greatest coaches of all-time, Coach K, didn’t make his first NCAAT appearance until his 9th season as HC at the age of 36.

That’s the thing, if people want to be silly and attack him personally for the nothing burger, fine. As long as they’re stating facts about it, which usually doesn’t happen, fine. What’s stupid is belittling what LSU and those kids did while he was here. Bashing your own team just to snipe at Wade just seems bizarre to me.

ok… he got a show cause, sat for a year and is coaching at a Southland School 3 years later.

I would take him back so quick. I was more excited about LSU Basketball in year 1 with Tremont Waters than I have been since he left.

If it was just an NCAA or IARP investigation and found real misconduct, I would have agreed. But in this case everything was fueled by Pat Forde and Dickie V regurgitating the same misinformation at optimal viewership opportunities as a means to a witch hunt. To this day they won’t admit that Wade wasn’t being wiretapped or under investigation by anyone or that “strong arse offer” Javonte Smart was cleared by the NCAA and continued to play. Their intent was never to be factual.
