Have to give credit to Kelly. I understand people want more from him, but he will get there. He’s a great coach and he’s putting his money where his mouth is.

He’s putting his own money up to build a championship roster.

He will bring a Title to LSU before he hangs it up.

Nice to see BK believing in himself in building a program that will bring home a NC.

I don't know about that. I hope so, I hope it's multiple titles. I can honestly say that he is doing everything on the outside to get there though. If he's doing everything outside, you would have to imagine he's not taking shortcuts inside.

He put his literal money where his mouth is.

Brian Kelly has faults but big confident balls isn't one of them.

How do we let student athletes capitalize on their Name, Image, and Likeness? Have second- and third parties pony up the money on glorified Go Fund Me pages and dole it out like ransom payments. Who's being exploited now?

First of all, thank goodness it is legal for the school to pay CBK and then to have him turn around and use that same money to pay the players he is coaching. Has any other coach done something similar before?

Second of all, thank you to Gordon for matching this. I keep breaking hard, just in case somebody rear ends me, and I can hire him so he can continue to support LSU using the insurance companies money,

Ehhh so the match was he would donate $1M to TAF if fans would donate $1M to NIL for football. The 2nd match was another $1M to NIL to football.

So his donation wasn’t exactly to NIL, just to TAF - but ended up getting $2M raised directly for football.
I don't believe it is legal for a coach to donate money directly to his own players, but who knows

& why are we acting like the 2nd donor was Gordon? he doesn’t seem like the “anonymous” type

Only 1600 of us are contributing to NIL? That is not enough.

Not telling you how to spend your money, but there are 150k of us out on campus on any given weekend and donating to NIL directly contributes to your overall experience on game days and the product on the field. How are more people not involved?

Right, which helps to fund the athletic department outside of NIL.

Currently, neither the coaches, the university, nor any directly affiliated organization (like TAF) is supposed to give money directly to NIL.

I think it’s the principle of it. People are already paying to attend the games, buy the concessions and merchandise. Watching sports is supposed to be an escape from reality, not a monthly bill to fund other people’s household outside of their own.

I feel like 1600 is not a lot right? We need more contributing, even if it's just $20.
