The season is lost at this point, you're already paying him to coach, no reason to let him go midseason.

In today’s era, I’m not sure it makes a difference anymore. Most the team would be gone whether it’s middle or end of season. They are probably watching to see if he can turn it around in season but 2 consecutive blowouts to bottom half teams is a bad trend.

It would probably give the players a boost. Half don’t even know if they are going to play significant minutes from game to game because there seems to be little reason for the personnel moves. It would at least make the players feel like they have a chance and I’m sure Patrick, Courtney, Mitchell, Kent Lowe would at least show some passion like they wanted to win
The last time LSU fired a coach midseason (Brady) the team went 5-4 in SEC play after an 1-5 start, and just missed upsetting a few ranked teams along the way. If nothing else, at least give the players something to believe in over the last 9 games.

No shot… I hate to say it but I think Woody is going to give him next year. Solid class coming in, your hope is that we get a real coach and actually retain some of those guys so it isn’t back to square one all over again

I am unsure if we shouldn't be more worried about those guys pulling their commitment now rather than if we get a new coach.

Yeah, but haven't we seen guys who signed hit the portal before they actually play? I am unsure how that works now. And aren't they allowed to pull their commitment now if the coach gets fired? I really have lost track of all that
