Our own Bryce Wilson makes preseason all-class all-state… in 6 days he’ll take the mound at Holy Cross Park as Doug Faust, formerly of Hannan and Shaw, makes his Chalmette coaching debut in the same dugout his father led the Owls in during the 70s.

Our schedule… hopefully we’ll be better off with the power ratings this year

WM returns all pitching from last year, but has to find replacements for 3 huge departures in Federico (Ole Miss), Pearson (LSU), and Hawsey (LATech). Hawsey looks to be starting at 1B already and Fed has been lighting up the scrimmages at Ole Miss.

WM’s starting pitchers will be Ferguson (LATech), Cupit (LSU), and Frye (S.Arkansas). Also Tyler Roark will throw some and not leave the lineup (ULM).

Guess it may have happened anyway, but I’d hope we didn’t make a massive mistake letting the Bonuras get away and start trying to bring Holy Cross to the elite level again… (but if we’re there, I’d love to see HC there)

NOLA and the Northshore area needs challengers to the big 3 of West Monroe, Barbe, and Catholic… the top Catholic League teams plus Chalmette are the best chances for one to develop

Central being 21st is a bit laughable.

What do you return? I know you had an ace last year, then a big drop off after the one arm. He was a dude. Southern Miss signee I believe. WM lost game 1 to him, then won the next 2 relatively easily with Central scoring 1 run in 2 games.

Just like the football team. If you want to be a better team in the playoffs, need a better regular season schedule

Glad they upgraded

Grayden Harris, from what I've read he has a chance to be in their weekend rotation as a freshman.

This… it took us winning 28 games last year to barely host the first round of the playoffs… if our schedule performs like they did last year we’ll need to win 24 or 25.

Not ideal, East Ascension hosted with 18 wins, and a bunch of teams hosted with 21-23 in nonselect D1, but it’s better than before

Why don’t you play the Catholic league yearly? Wins against Jesuit, Rummel, Brother Martin, and Curtis would go a long way for your SOS.
