2000s era Oakley baseball sunglasses

Looking to buy some new sunglasses for golf. Always loved the oakleys I had for baseball. I remember in the 2000s they had the M frame and then a more expensive and bulkier frame. I cannot for the life of me remember what those ones were called.
I look on the Oakley website and it’s the same frame as the modern Radars but I sore they had a different name. Were they always called radars or did they do a marketing change since the late 2000s early 2010s?

There’s no reason to pay more than like $25 for sunnies in 2025, certainly not for Oakley’s

I remember the Oakley Gas Cans and the Oakley Oil Rigs

Oakley sold to Luxottica in 2007 so they aren’t really the same company that they were is the early 2000’s.

If you're specifically looking for Oakley sunglasses to play golf in, get the Flak 2.0 with the golf prism lenses.

Gas station, $8. You're welcome.

They still make the M frame types but they’re complete garbage now. I can’t get more than a few months before the lens tab breaks. I stocked up on lens after I bitched last time and they gave me a discount code but I’m done when I’m through these and going to something else.

Does your local course allow you to wear cargo shorts with your Oakley’s?

OGs were Oakley M Frames and around 2013 they were replaced with the Oakley Radars

Ok so they have always been radars.

Cheap glasses are worse for you than no sunglasses.
In fact, wearing cheap sunglasses that do not have good light filters can cause worse damage to your eyes over time. Even if you can see just fine on a bright day, you could expose your eyes to more damage than if you did not wear sunglasses at all.

I’ll get home tomorrow and check. They look similar to radars but not quite the same. I can’t remember the name either.

Gotta add Randolph Engineering in there, too.
