As an untutored youth I was a starry eyed 'progressive' (in the late 50's) but I was also keenly logical. the more I learned, the least logical any 'progressive' tenet became.
As I was able to watch interviews on TV the conservatives always made sense. So I became a conservative and have only been ever more convinced I was right in the past 60 years.
