Update 1:21 p.m. ET Jan. 30: U.S. Army officials said that two pilots were killed in the crash. The male and female pilots’ bodies had been in the fuselage in about eight feet of water, The New York Times. A third crewmember, a male staff sergeant, was recovered earlier.

The co-pilot, who is known as the pilot in command – was a female who had 500 hours flying experience.

That’s according to Jonathan Koziol, chief of staff for Army aviation. The instructor pilot was evaluating the second pilot — who was also qualified as a pilot in command — for that night training flight and the pilot who was being evaluated had about 500 flight hours, Koziol said.

The "passenger" is likely a crew chief. That's minimal crew for a Blackhawk. Probably 2 warrant officers and a troop.

They were clearly middle easter terrorists who were snuck into the country through the southern border by cartels, then given fake id's by the Biden administration, then hired through DEI, then committed this act of terrorism.

Did I do that right?

Crew chief doesn't mean person with the controls. Especially on a training flight.

You startled me a bit there. For a second I didn't realize you were talking about the crew chief. One of the kids I remember from church graduated Parkview, enlisted, then after four years was selected for WOFT at Rucker. He's been flying Blackhawks for about four or five years now. You had me very concerned for a split second there.

The fact a female is on board in a pilot role is interesting.

Who had the sticks?

So long as you included DEI, you're good. DEI has become the new way to pass the buck and assign blame....whether it was true or not in the instance.

Minimum used to be 4 on blackhawks, according to some former pilots as early as 2008.

Female crew member was flying. Instructor pilot was evaluating her.
