Auburn took 80 shots tonight bc they had 25 offensive rebounds and off of our 20 freaking turnovers!!!! Rebounding is all about effort - we control this. Turnovers must be cleaned up. We are ranked #323 out of #364 in TOs per game.

This is pitiful. We have some talent on the team but can’t overcome these sorts of stats without ELITE talent. Actually I’m not quite sure anyone could overcome that…..

Let’s get out sh*t straight here or get the petition out to re-hire Will Wade next year.

Listened to Mcmahons post game. They asked him about the turnovers and he straight up says that he doesn't know what the fix is and that they have to figure out a way to fix it. We are now into game 20 and he doesn't know how to fix having nearly 20 TOs a game. Mcmahon is absolutely clueless

Its not gonna happen. The offense is a disaster. There’s no structure which leads to overdribbling and bad passes, not to mention his teams make so many unforced mistakes.

Mcmahon’s going to have to start more off ball action. It’s just way too easy for teams to double off of our no motion offense

This. Not sure why folks here ignore the talent gap

We are not ignoring the talent gap. Just simply pointing out the fact that this team has horrendous fundamentals. 17 fricking turnovers at halftime, most of which were self inflicted, is inexcusable. It would be one thing if the turnovers were just tonight, but it was against Alabama, Ole Miss, A&M, Vandy, and Mizzou. Better yet, its been a theme the last three years. At this point the turnovers are not an anomaly, they are a feature of the Mcmahon offense and they kill any and all momentum in games

Why is LSU's team less talented than other SEC teams-- that's the problem to the answer.

Texas, South Carolina and Georgia -- all lower-echelon SEC clubs were able to hang with Auburn for an entire game. Auburn simply beat the brakes off LSU, and the Tigers weren't ever really in the game after midway through the first half.

I don’t think we scout and build a plan on how to attack our opponents. It took us a half and 14 turnovers to realize they were trapping our high ball screens. Amazing how poorly coached we are on the offensive end.

NET? Are we really worried about our damn NET ranking rn? We are 1-6 and tied for second to last in the conference. How about we just focus on winning a game or two

bullshite.

When it’s a significantly different roster each year but the same exact issue with the same exact coach the problem is the constant. If McMahon was coaching the guys in blue tonight they would have 14+ turnovers too.

For YEARS when Miles was the HC we had to listen to people say the offense was bad because he “just couldn’t find a good QB”. No, it was that no QB could fully thrive under Miles because of his bad offensive approach. It’s not a coincidence LSU has had multiple years of a good passing offense since Miles left, including 2 Heisman winning QBs and another among the preseason favorites for the award next season

Recruit all the players you want. Just like with Miles, as long as he is the HC, LSU is going to have a well below average offense

Yay, we played pretty shitty basketball and lost by 13, but at least it was to the #1 team so our ranking wont drop that much so that we can MAYBE sneak in to the NIT as a bubble team. This program has gone to fricking shite...

Don’t have an SEC PG. Givens needs time to learn. Sears is a turnover machine.

I actually think the roster is stronger this year than the last two years but as you point out it makes no difference. This team throws lazy, slow, long passes that get intercepted time and time again. That is coaching. McMahon has never recruited a true point guard who can create assists with few turnovers. Sears is an undersized scorer, not a point guard. Givens should never have been given a scholarship as he was a mediocre high school player. Not fast, quick and doesn't make good decisions.
