I never eaten at Rotolo's, but I see they have a Detroit Style Pizza on the menu. I don't know of any other Detroit style in the Lafayette area (Little Caesar's doesn't count). Has anyone tried it, and how was it ?

I noticed it last week on the menu for the first time. I may have to try a personal pan one and see how it is.

Calzones and Beer are what Rotolos does best.

Wild Child Wines has it, not sure if they still have it every day or if it’s just occasionally.

That’s where us adults go to drink and watch sports. Way better than the bars. Awesome service at the bar and they play the audio throughout the place for LSU, Nicholls and Saints games.

I've had it at the Alexandria location. Tough to call it pizza. Massive layer of bread. easily a top 5 worst food item I have ever bought at a restaurant, and I truly love some of their other pizzas.

Is Rotolo different than Rotolo’s craft and crust?

I tried one in BR at their Craft and Crust location. My homemade Detroit style was much better.

I do like their Big Apple craft pizza.

Yes. Different menu, different oven, different dough, different pizza styles...

Which location are you referring to?

The one in Shreveport started as a regular Rotolo’s, then transitioned to the Craft and Crust version. I went to both a few times, usually when someone else wanted to, and I never had a pizza that I considered even average. If I had to return, I’d just drink beer and eat wings.
