Yeah. We need to stop shitting on the skilled trades and putting people with degrees on a pedestal. A master electrician is far more valuable than some dickhead with a Sociology degree sitting in a cubicle and shuffling papers.

Actually, those that i know that are financially literate and don't have costly habits, IE drugs or drinking, do VERY well for themselves, and a few could retire by 50 if they so choose to.

Lmao…..I walked away from an engineering career for a decade to start a service company. I make more than all the engineers I know from then. Vacation when I want, work when I want and how much I want, parlayed the better income into commercial rental income. Best thing I ever did.

So you want tax paying small business owners charged with a crime for hiring a kid to wash dishes or work a weed eater.

This is fricking insanity. It’s hard enough to run a business in this country with the insane regulation and taxes. Let’s throw them in jail now. What a fricking brilliant idea.

Curious, where do you live? Down here I know more self made millionaires in construction, plumbing, boat business without college degrees than those that have a degree and work by the hour. Plus it gives the then ability to pass these companies down to there children and continue to build their brand.

If people really want this they need to start putting pressure on state and local leaders to support and fund vocational/tech programs at the highschool level. We've spent the past few decades gutting those programs when they offer the most efficient and direct path to a career in the trades. That goes for everything from cabinetry to computer programming. A kid can leave highschool fully certified in many skilled fields, and have received those certification for little-to-no cost. We just collectively lost the respect for those programs and as a result we no longer value them. It has been a gross disservice to the youth of this country.
