A little tidbit:
Johnny Marr became obsessed with a little "disco" rhythm called disco stomp. He soon found out that it was basically a rhythm from Bo Diddley's Mona. He was really interested in how Bo made the guitar it's own beat and Marr became obsessed with the tremolo effect and wanted it on a track.

See, I never have that version come up. I always get the one that's 6:44. That's just too long for me on that song.

I hear it too!! That makes it even better to me!

Guitar parts really made the song great. Good tune all around. But those parts put it over the top.

Wow! I didn’t realize Bo was from McComb, Ms. I’m sure you knew that though.

Actually, a little area of ground south of McComb called Bear Town.

I know Ive mentioned this before, but for years... I thought he was saying "Sun and Air"
Then one day it just clicked and I felt a little dumb... Oh, its "Son and Heir"

I’ve never seen the Smiths live, but I did see Built to Spill cover How Soon is Now at the Howlin Wolf in 2015. Was a great cover.

Another gem from The Smith’s:
