40th Anniversary of this Single

One of the Most Timeless and Classic Songs out of the 80’s and is still relevant today.
(My 21 year old has the Hatful Of Hollow Album)

With the most Iconic Intro

A little tidbit:
Johnny Marr became obsessed with a little "disco" rhythm called disco stomp. He soon found out that it was basically a rhythm from Bo Diddley's Mona. He was really interested in how Bo made the guitar it's own beat and Marr became obsessed with the tremolo effect and wanted it on a track.

See, I never have that version come up. I always get the one that's 6:44. That's just too long for me on that song.

Guitar parts really made the song great. Good tune all around. But those parts put it over the top.

Wow! I didn’t realize Bo was from McComb, Ms. I’m sure you knew that though.

I know Ive mentioned this before, but for years... I thought he was saying "Sun and Air"

Then one day it just clicked and I felt a little dumb... Oh, its "Son and Heir"

And it was originally released as a B-side.

I’ve never seen the Smiths live, but I did see Built to Spill cover How Soon is Now at the Howlin Wolf in 2015. Was a great cover.
