Somebody is trying to kill the dogs around the Garden District
quote:
MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On January 27, 2025, Monroe residents reported sausage balls containing nails were found dispersed on the roadside in the Monroe Garden District. It is believed that these sausage balls have been placed around that area for dogs to ingest.
According to reports, residents found sausages near Rochelle Avenue and Erin Avenue. Some of the treats were even found half-eaten with the nail missing. On a social media post, a resident claimed that their dog ingested a nail and will now require surgery.

I don’t remember seeing many middle easterners in Monroe period outside of the students at ULM.
That area it was probably some crazy old dude or Karen. Bumped into quite a few while running the levee there for practice.

I didn’t say it was a good thing. I was just postulating what their strategy might’ve been.

Maybe they are intended for Coyotes.
Maybe a Coyote killed their pet. That makes the most sense.
I've lost several Beagles to coyotes. If I thought I could kill a coyote and not harm pets, I might try it.

This was in the middle of town it’s definitely not for coyotes. And even if it were that’s a fricked up way of dealing with it

Hang the person that did this is the smoke stack of they paper mill until the die of starvation or from huffing fart smells.

I tend to agree, but I’ve seen coyotes in Monroe before.

Yeah it is.
I have a place on Lake Bistineau and about 12-15 years ago started seeing bald eagles, really cool.
Biologist couldn’t figure a few years later why the population wasn’t growing faster, plenty of food and great nesting trees.
Come to find out the rednecks liked them eagle feathers to hang on the rear view of their truck and/or their hat.

Are they good minus the nails? Hell I might accidentally eat one.
