What does the NFL gain by allegedly promoting the Chiefs?

There is this constant claim out there that the NFL and the game officials want KC to win. How does that benefit the NFL? Can't be for $$$$; KC is small market team so it is not for viewership ##'s. One would think the NFL would not want the same team in the Super Bowl this many times in a row as it might lose viewers and, consequently, advertiser dollars. One would think the NFL would substantially benefit from Buffalo moving on; a feel good story about a loveable loser team. I suppose if you want to believe it is because Taylor Swift gets a minute or so of air time and that helps ratings so be it.

I think the Taylor swift thing is the biggest argument. Look at all the bullshite the kelce bros find themselves involved in since Travis started dating Taylor.
I don’t think it can be over stated how much Taylor swift fans hang on everything she does. If Taylor is at the game, her fans are watching. That’s a massive market boost for the NFL.

For every football fan that doesn’t watch a chiefs game there is at least one Taylor Swift fan that does. It’s really weird, and will be magnified again at the Super Bowl.

I can see why people might draw this conclusion except that TS did not go to any of the Chief's away games and missed some of the home games as well so its not like she was getting a lot of screen time all season.

Incoming Kelce marriage proposal to Swift after the super bowl win. Was surprised it didn't happen last year, but then again, they were still "new." A year later, it's more likely. Also about as "me-me-me" as it gets for Kelce.

Brady has retired. They need a new face of the NFL and it's Mahomes. They will beat the drum every chance they get that Mahomes is going to be better than Brady by the time he retires because he has one thing Brady doesn't, a 3-peat of Superbowl wins.

Is this the part where people are supposed to ignore the articles that came out last year showing the additional revenue Swift brought in with the new fan base that is ties to her?

Look at what's happened to golf after Tiger. The guy has been a shell of himself since 2013 and the sport is just now FINALLY starting to move on.
Prior to the rise of the Chiefs, Tom Brady had taken the GOAT bar and put it on Mt. Everest. 4 Super Bowl wins was already insane and he stacked up 7. But that left a big void when he retired.
By pumping the Chiefs, the NFL gets a "realistic" chance that someone can match or even surpass Brady. And that's good television

KC went to 3 Super Bowls and won 2 before Travis started dating Swift so it can't be because of her.
