New Orleans is great for scripted entertainment. Wrestlemanias that are held there are usually good, and now they have the NFL coming to add to its scripted entertainment repertoire.

Not sure but it’s not Tampa or Houston from my experience.

nola is so good but it's also so high risk/high reward. you can have the best time, but also get killed, but also be having fun when you get killed.

New Orleans is great for a lot of reasons. Mostly the compact nature of the stadium being downtown next to all of the attractions, hotels etc.

Miami is great because of weather but SUCKS for the Stadium and events being super spread out.

Vegas is a good combination of weather, Stadium location, and ability to host huge events

I would think that Vegas might be considered better than NOLA now given the gambling and nightlife and upscale scene and the fact that it's incredibly safe.

Miami is probably awesome but that stadium is so heckin far away and hard to get to. Same for Los Angeles

NOLA is definitely top 3 all things considered, especially now that the Superdome is swanky in the lower and club levels.

The sheer volume of hotel rooms, flights, restaurants, and ability to walk to the stadium makes Vegas a no brainer for big games.

They really need to break the grip of the taxi union so they can get a train to the airport though,

Al Michaels says NOLA is the best because all events are downtown and you can walk everywhere. He mentioned Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California sucks. Some events were in San Fran and Oakland and game is in Santa Clara. Getting around wasn’t fun

I don’t know about Super Bowls, but I’ve started going to Final Fours. Only been to Minneapolis, New Orleans, Houston, and Phoenix so far. New Orleans was far and away the best of the bunch. There is a lot to be said for everything’s within walking distance. We will see how San Antonio stacks up this year.

How TF did San Antonio land a final four with a stadium that is as old and spartan as the Alamodome?

Until the Superdome is deemed insufficient.

He's not wrong, but Atlanta is the same.

The only cities that will be able to compete with New Orleans as far as weather, proximity of events/hotels/restaurants/entertainment, and the stadium/game, itself, are Las Vegas and Nashville, when the Titans finish building their new stadium.

Atlanta. Those folks know how to put on a show, whether it's the Peach Bowl, SEC Championship Game, or Super Bowl. They do it right.

I do not like the city, but they put on the best football event that I've been to.

New Orleans is a great city to be in during a big sporting event. Much better than Atlanta as far as the city goes.

But for a specific event, Atlanta wins, IMO.

The reception that the 2013 Super Bowl received in New Orleans is not something I’ve seen before for any other city. At least in the Twitter era.
