Good. I have a business conference there in the fall. Last year I went it was SKETCHY as frick, hopefully Trump & Homan will have Denver in tip top shape by the time I return.

Denver has been going down hill since 2020. The migration of illegals the last year hasn’t helped, but it’s not the only problem - the mayor is a joke.

Got it, that’s what I figured. That area has been bad since Covid. It’s gotten better but still bad. Mainly the homeless, druggies you described and not the illegals.
The illegals mainly stay in Aurora but just drive right over to Denver to commit crimes. The new mayor is fricking awful

To be fair, I only saw a handful of people that would fit the description of “illegals.”
What I did see surprised me though. It was like Seattle and San Fransico had some love children. No bueno.

Does Aurora have like the full spectrum in regards to a really nice areas and really bad areas? The part that I saw on Colfax was bad when I was there for work, but I’ve also heard there’s nice parts

There arent any ritzy places in Aurora, but there are some decent subdivisions. Colfax is a super long straight street that goes east to west and basically divides downtown going straight to the mountains. East Colfax is the area east of downtown. There are some cool restaurants I liked there and Voodoo donuts is there BUT that is the druggy part of town. West Colfax is fine

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston said this week that the city will sue the Trump administration if it instructs federal immigration enforcement agents to detain Denver residents at schools, churches, hospitals, and other “sensitive locations.”
