I never had, until yesterday. Sightings in Oklahoma are almost unheard of. We see hawks and kites all the time but at first I was like.. that’s not a hawk or a kite

Sorry for poor quality, I zoomed in for the pic then zoomed in on the pic to get this screenshot

We would have then in our trees at the lake house all of the time. I would not let my house dog out alone because of them. Beautiful creatures.

Seen a few here in Southern Arkansas. My best memory of one was when I was fishing off the Arkansas River and I saw one stretch his wings and leave his perch at the top of a tree. Beautiful animals

I see them almost daily now around BR and NO. Had two different ones fly right over my car on Friday and Saturday, About 50’ off the ground.

Yes, people do confuse them around water for Osprey often though.

I hate to be a d**k, but that isn't a bald eagle. It is an eagle, but the tips of the wings and tail have to be white also to be considered a bald eagle. It is a beautiful eagle though. We have many of them in the Atchafalaya swamp that are the same, the head looks like a bald eagle, but apparently they are not considered a true bald eagle.

I see them every now and then at Bear Branch Reservoir not too far from there. Even saw one with a bass in its mouth while I was getting skunked on the water.
