I’m glad Hollywood has a night to pat themselves on the back to a bunch of movies the majority of the country didn’t even see

I was very surprised Challengers score did not get a nomination. Sebastian Stan was nominated for the wrong movie. Denis getting snubbed for Director yet again.

Looking at the Original Songs, it makes sense why they removed the performances from the ceremony. The people of L.A. have suffered enough.

I haven’t heard of over half of the best picture films.

Kind of a bad year for movies apparently.

I know the Oscars aren’t about popularity, but I’m curious how many casual moviegoers have seen (or even heard of) any of the BP nominees outside of Wicked and Dune.

Isabella Rossellini - Conclave

I enjoyed this movie, but Rossellini had like 7 minutes of screen time.

The Substance has been talked about a ton, I haven't seen it yet, but that's on me. A Complete Unknown is the Dylan biopic directed by James Mangold, it just came out at Christmas, its not some obscure movie.

I haven't seen a lot of the Best Pictures nominees on there. Guess there is a reason for that. None of them really interest me. Lame year for movies.

Would be nice to see Edward Norton win one. That's all I got.

Challengers getting snubbed annoys me

But yes this is not a great group of movies this year

This was surprisingly good. I don't know if its best picture worthy, but I'll be stunned if Timmy doesn't get best actor.

Her biggest competition that didn’t get nominated were Selena Gomez and Jamie Lee Curtis. She can have this one.

You should come to this board more often. We've been discussing almost all of them.

Both are showing in theater in my area this week. I am going to see The Brutalist Saturday. It lookslike its going to be really good.

And she fricking killed it. She's deserving, but I'm afraid that Amelia Perez will knock out a lot of the more deserving nominees.
