Who the hell would Glenn even make that request to? Glenn isn't even close to a powerful enough hire to make a request like that and even if he was the only person with the authority to fire Loomis is Gayle Benson and it's not like she's the one doing the interviewing. Are we to believe that Aaron Glenn requested that the man interviewing him fire himself?

This report makes no sense. A more plausible scenario is that he wanted to bring in someone to replace one of the underlings (or just bring in his own guy onto the FO staff) and Mickey said no.

I thought about this scenario. A HC doesn’t want to deal with Loomis. Not hard to comprehend. The fan base knows Loomis is a POS; guess what so does anyone with a brain.
A prominent HC target could ask this; it would be his team. AG is no scrub.

Glenn doesn’t have that kinda stroke, not yet anyway. Ben Johnson could, Harbaugh could a couple years ago when Allen was hired.
It’s why these guys aren’t even asked to interview. Mickey wants a yes man.

A better lie wold have been "Loomis was a major negative in Glenn's eyes and he decided to go another direction."
Glenn knew up from that Loomis was going to be here. He's the one conducting the search and interviews.
