Told wife how great Entergy has been. We were looking at the outage map. Power goes out.

Don't ever compliment a utility company again.

Not in LC. Somehow mine goes out randomly. The bad cold was last night.

I'm convinced Entergy lets their equipment fail purposefully. How there always seems to be a problem is beyond me.

As much devastation as LC has had, it ought to he hardened beyond reason.

We broke the peak load record today up here by about 800 MW.

I'm not aware of any major issues. I think I saw Tuesday night there were something like 10k outages in the whole state.

I was told by my nephew that if another powerplant goes down a bunch of people would lose power. So that isn't snow on tree limbs or increased demand.

Found the quote: Two different power plants have already tripped their units. My plant trucking along strong. If we trip though man and dad gonna lose power.

Welsh power will go off in the middle of a glorious April afternoon, but miraculously it’s not skipped a beat the last few days.

We have Demco but haven't seen any major outages in the BR area over the past few days.

We cranked down the heater and used the fireplace most of the day today since we already had plenty of firewood.

This. I had 6 meters on the farm that controlled some ponds we decided not to use this year. Used 0 electricity. Got a bill for 10 grand for them because apparently each meter has a minimum usage amount per year that equals around 2k per meter. Of course I was never told that or I would have had the power cut off.

Entergy has its problems but they are so much better than Jeff Davis Electric. I don’t know how that company is still in business.

I just wish I knew the reason why it went out. It pisses me off when its random and the surrounding areas do not.

I don't understand what could cause this now when the prior two days were no issues.

It leads me to believe it's BS.

I absolutely can't stand Entergy. We are surrounded by people who have slemco, and not only are their bills much lower, they don't deal with outages nearly as much as we do.

Yesterday around noon we lost power. We live on a dead end country road with 9 houses down the street. It was just us 9 out bc some trees were hitting power lines. They came clear the limbs (it now looks like more clean up than a hurricane with all the trees). Got power back at 8 and it went back out from 1AM to 1 PM.

It's been pretty miserable. My thermostat just read "low". The number appeared again an hour or so after getting power and it showed 45, so we were at least under that last night.

I'm not writing anything else besides saying conditions are now favorable. Thank you Jesus.
