He makes some great points. Says TikTok is not owned by China. Has 60% international investors. So what's the real reason the Deepstate wanted to Ban this App and take away our free speech?

The IC doesn't have a backdoor to spy on Americans, it's that simple.

Anytime a bunch of Dems and republicans are on the same side, you have to question why.
They really only line up to allow themselves insider trading, money launder tax payer money through uktraine and generally frick over freedom.
If the scoundrels in Congress could have had access to the data trap door and somehow traded stock to make money none of any of this is talked about.

He's spot on.
Most people are ignorant of this fact.

At this point privacy isn’t a thing - you phone already know everything about you. No need to punish Americans that make their living though TikTok

I respectfully disagree with the esteemed senator from Kentucky.

If you are ever in doubt, siding with Rand Paul is always the right path.
The guy is rarely wrong, similar to Thomas Massie.

Trump himself says that the app needs to be sold in order to protect national security.

I thought for sure you of all people would be in favor of forcing a communist country to divest from TikTok. No free trade with a communist country but it's ok for free theft from a communist country?

Its already owned by 60% international investors. TikTok also offered to have a board in America and let the servers be hosted by Oracle a American company. This is all about controlling free speech and the narrative with the Deepstate.

100% agree that national security risks need to be removed. That does not create an issue for my stance.
And frick all communism and their influence here.

A big chunk of that 60% is Black Rock. I cant find exactly how much

Byte Dance is domiciled in China and subject to Chinese law that compels them to share data with the Chinese government at any time.
Why should that not be a concern?

They tried for months to negotiate with the Biden administration but ultimately a deal couldn't be reached due to national security concerns.

And Trump said today that it needs to be sold in order to protect national security.
Rand says it's good to go and Trump disagrees. I agree with Trump's position that it needs to be sold but don't think he has the authority to extend the time before the law takes effect. I also think it's a waste of time, the CCP has had years to divest and refuses.
