...and Trump admin is the dangerous oligarchy?
I hope like hell Trump gets election integrity sorted out and we get a JD win in 2028, if the dems win we are screwed.
Biden's farewell and the rhetoric in hearings for Trump's nominees are a warning that this country should not overlook.

The NYTimes reported Biden was complaining early-on about Garland not going after Trump more quickly. Biden wanted Trump jailed. Full.Stop.
Biden also had intel spread the rumor they were adding Ukraine to NATO which the democrats didn't care was breaking treaty with Russia.
The Biden State Dept admitted Trumps team was critical in the agreements in Israel. When the Biden WH was asked they had no clue who the State Dept Spox was that said this.
Biden said 'he let' the Trump admin in on what they were doing.
Biden is a plagiarizing liar POS.

I generally agree with you sentiments, but what treaty?

If Biden could've done this deal on his own, he would've a long time ago. In reality he signs what people put in front of him and doesn't know what day it is.

Trump should snub Biden after last night and not show up to the tea, etc

The Brookings Institute has tried to do revisionist history---
But when Gorbachev and Reagan made the tear down the wall, deal. It was in the deal/treaty that NATO would not expand.
Biden leaked to Russia that they were admitting Ukraine into NATO; and practically begged Putin to invade Ukraine by speaking about it for days until they did.

Absolute cunning statesmanship from Biden tricking Ukrainians into defending their country from Russian invaders.

My understanding is that it was a verbal gentlemens' agreement that was never put into writing.

Fake News.
There was no treaty. If it happened it was verbal. Nothing on paper and nothing signed.
Some of you people will believe and spread anything.

Jesus Christ. This is why we can’t have nice things.

So really Biden sucked Russia into attacking Ukraine then, not the other way around.

This is a cajundramaqueen classic whopper.
Talk about Tin foil.

Declassified documents show security assurances against NATO expansion to Soviet leaders from Baker, Bush, Genscher, Kohl, Gates, Mitterrand, Thatcher, Hurd, Major, and Woerner
Slavic Studies Panel Addresses “Who Promised What to Whom on NATO Expansion?”
Published: Dec 12, 2017
Briefing Book #613
Svetlana Savranskaya and Tom Blanton
Washington D.C., December 12, 2017 – U.S. Secretary of State James Baker’s famous “not one inch eastward” assurance about NATO expansion in his meeting with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev on February 9, 1990, was part of a cascade of assurances about Soviet security given by Western leaders to Gorbachev and other Soviet officials throughout the process of German unification in 1990 and on into 1991, according to declassified U.S., Soviet, German, British and French documents posted today by the National Security Archive at George Washington University https://nsarchive.gwu.edu/

That dinette set is gauche. Surely we can all agree?

You called it a treaty.
An assurance is what Ukraine received in the Budapest Memorandum. How did that work out?
Anything that says Assurance isn't worth the paper it was written on. To my knowledge there wasn't even written assurances from Baker. Nothing was ever adopted by either side.
Take your loss on this one.

Treaty/Deal/Agreement. "NOT ONE INCH EASTWARD"
I take no loss that is silly. Consult Oliver Stone's War On Ukraine video at Rumble. It has more details, you can post it in the OT cognitively impaired Ukraine thread.
The discussion comes down to the way business/agreements even in govt- were done back when a man's word -especially in a diplomatic status- was golden.
It is in writing though. I do not care to argue that they didn't have a notary seal the deal.
The newer movie entitled 'Reagan', showed the way Reagan did deals was on horseback.
