Jumping in a division with Reid, Payton, and harbaugh is bold.

That would probably be the worst job of all the ones he’s linked to.

Agree. Maybe the least desirable of all the locations with a head coach opening.

He’s not very smart. That’s the only job I’d say is for sure worse than the saints.

I have a co-worker from California who is a die hard Raider fan & he told me about this Monday. He said he heard Brady & Davis are going to offer to give him complete control of everything to get him to coach. We will see

Clearly not from Ben Johnson’s perspective, and his opinion is what matters.

On paper

Brady, 2nd most cap space, good draft capital. It’s a blank slate to work with and the expectations aren’t great

The coaches with good qbs in the division is what would make me hesitant.

It’s just the hot new rumor because Brady is there. Has been circulating for about 2 days now.

Shows the discrepancy between what fans perceive as good or bad spots and what people on the inside perceive as good or bad spots.

Of course lets not forget McCarthy is bing heavily linked to Chicago now, where Ben Johnson was previously presumed to have the job all but gift wrapped for him.
I dont underestimate the possibility of a little behind the scenes agent manipulation going on here as well.

For awhile Jacksonville was the favorite over Chicago. Then the Baalke narrative hit. Now it’s a hot rumor that Brady is enamored by him giving him more reason to consider there.

He’s still be the clear worst team out of 4 without a qb against 3 teams with settled options one being the Super Bowl champion and two on the rise.

How much does one really factor that? Everyone would be after the Saints or Jags job if that was the case

On top of everything else, the raiders have brand new, first class facilities and nice weather to boot. I certainly dont think it’s the worst job out there

WEIRD how HC judge jobs vs fans. I kept saying it is more about money and front office than anything else.

Look at the Gruden deal. he got PAID and had total control. THAT is what coaches want. Look how quickly Payton turned around Denver after eating 80M in dead cap space with Wilson

I never said it was a bad job. In today's nfl though, you better make the playoffs soon, and that division could make that a problem. He's not coming here, so I don't care where he goes, but Jacksonville seems like the best spot imo - top 10 in cap space, nice draft capital, and a very winnable division

Gruden went, 4-12, 7-9, 8-8, and had a 10 year contract. The Raiders go wild for a coach.
