He showed progress his first 3 seasons, and he made the playoffs his 3rd season. Not sure what happened in season 4, but it certainly fell apart. Hell, that happens though... see Kyle shanahan who also had a WTF in year 4 after making playoffs in year 3. Hell, shanahan did it again this season, and I think he's one of the best in the NFL.

If we go kingsbury though, I wanna let Carr go. Go get one of the reclamation projects in Zach Wilson or Justin fields and do more of this zone read stuff Washington does with daniels. This style may even play better with rattler.

He has to pick his next job wisely as it’s probably his last if it tanks…that’s not us

he'd be leaving a QB with a real future for Derek Carr.

If I were him, no!

true.

I'm just not interested in a Loomis Yes Man which is most likely what will happen.

Kliff probably wouldn't want to come here anyway.

His career defies logic so he might have a couple more faceplants.

Zach Wilson is potentially interesting; consider what happened to Geno Smith and Darnold--hell, even Aaron Rodgers looks horrible with the Jets. He's currently with Payton and maybe can learn something from him

Need an offensive based HC.

The majority of successful teams right now have an offensive minded HC.

He’s now tied to a good franchise level QB, so he can be patient as plenty of other opportunities will likely still be coming his way over the next few seasons

Maybe not.

It could mean that the Saints will cut ties with Carr this season and take their medicine and allow a new offensive minded coach to pick his guy this year or next..

After listening to several podcasters I'm convinced that cuttings Carr is a really possibility this season. It would mean a bargain basement FA period in 2025 but let's face it, they're not competing for anything in 2025 anyway. Makes for a bright 2026 and even brighter 2027 though.

I'm just not sold on Kingsbury as a HC.

Agreed. He’s awful.

We’re basically hiring him to be a sacrificial lamb if it’s him.

He’s getting paid I believe 6M a year from the cardinals still. I’d assume he loses that with another HC gig.

Kingsbury is not coming here. Won't be a HC east of the MS river.

And once Carr is cut who exactly you think will be the qb?

We like 60 million in the hole on the cap, will be worse once Carr is cut. So no money to sign any free agent that’s worth anything. We’d be reaching for any qb that would be available in the draft at #9.

So unless you like another year of Rattler starting please give us a name that’s realistic and better than Carr….

I don't see why all the hard-ons for Rattler. Showed me nothing. Y'all want to get rid of the only qb that actually had a winning record and respectable statistics despite the terrible on-field support and hitch up to a rookie that didn't win a game. Heck, he barely won any quarters much less game.
