Well one of them is playing for the NC this year and the other one isn’t. Kelly clearly left ND in a good spot. Freeman capitalized on the opp. Both are good coaches. The rest is irrelevant. LSU fans are WAY too insecure that ND is in the title game. It’s like we thought they would close down the program. Move on.

1 season under BK makes him a protege? MF and his defense was very significant in ND 11-1 season. Made stupid LSU think BK was a $100M prize. If MF learned anything from BK, it's what not to do as a coach or be as a human. Freeman learned more from Luke Fickell than he could ever learn from BK.

Coach O was not a good Div. 1 football coach.
That he won a Natty is a remarkable statement about the coaches and players around him.
He was a very good recruiter and motivator, and knew enough to stay out of the way of his OCs and DC.
When they left, the program and O collapsed.
When you claim o is as good as or better than Freeman, you lose credibility.

Agree with this. By all accounts Marcus Freeman is a good man and always has been. By all accounts, Brian Kelly is quite the opposite
